Been rubbish at updating as always... So many things have happened since the last entry. Not possible to put down everything that has hapened the last 4 months but just a breakdown to those who are interested lol.

I'm happily attached !! :) It's been 4 lovely months and things are really good. It aint perfect financially cuz both of us are not working. His choice but mine is by default haha. He takes care of me and provides for me. He's not rich but he goes out of his way to make me happy. He's a simple man and all we need is each other. We've been thru a lot together and it makes our relationship stronger...

Dear Frens... I am in love :) And i'm really happy...

I know hes ugly but hes my ugly! lol

We just moved in together and it's been a long ass ride. Sometimes i feel like i'm already married. Looking back, marriage now scares me! lol

Moved out of the old apartment which i was stayin with Rock. Had some problems with him hence the decision to move out with Omar. Breaks my heart that things had to come to this, but i guess both of us could have handled it better. I could have been more open and honest with him and Rock coould have been less childish and petty about the whole situation. The main thing was that, since i met Omar i have been spending less time with Rock and Omar was stayin over a lot to a point where it felt like he lived with us. And being Rock, he felt like I was takin advantage of his kindness cuz after all, he did invite me to stay with him. I was a charity case, u can say. LOL. I feel very grateful and indebted to him but at the same time, I met someone I can see myself being with for a very long time. It was hard to choose! Since then, we havent been the same. His petty side came out when he started talking to others about me. And i felt it just wasnt fair. I know very well how he is feeling but like i said, he could have been less childish about it.

Other than that, been honing up my culinary skills. Nothin fancy but I'm proud of it nonetheless. I perfected a fierce chocolate cake with nutella frosting and kickass Thai chicken red curry. OMg, I cant wait to be back in Singapore and feeding u guys LOL.

Speaking of Singapore, hoping that everyone there is all well. I know i been missing out on a lot of things. I miss my family so bad. Daddy's been worried bout me and I heard he's getting skinnier and losing his appetite. Breaks my heart.... I just hope by the end of this year, I get to pack up and see u guys. On the other hand, I need to figure out wat to do with this new found relationship. We're gonna be devastated if i leave and possibly not come back to Bahrain. I hope God will show me the way. I'm so confused rite now.

Sometimes i wish things could be a lot simpler. Or if i could be a lot luckier.

Thai - Southern - Egyptian in a week

Camwhorin at Wang Thai restaurant - in any Thai restaurant u cant do without these... Cha Yen, Tom Yum Goong/Gai, Panang Nua and Pad See Ew Nua/Gai. As i had just eaten prior to going to the restaurant, i only had my tea and soup. Abang Mow had Seafood Fried Rice and Deep Shrimps.

Had Koushary the other nite after clubbing. We went to a traditional local coffeeshop where they serve this Egyptian dish. it was my first time trying it and i have to admit, after a llong nite out in the club with all that alcohol in ure system, Koushary is the way to go!

So this is wat Koushary is.... it comes in a huge bowl. Layers of rice, noodles, macaroni pasta, lentils and chick peas topped off with fried onions. They serve tomato gravy separately and u pour it over the dish. Side condiments are paprika sauce and garlic lemon sauce.

Absolutely to die for!!!! I shall try makin this on my own one day :P

Update no. 1 - I moved out of the apartment. Main reason being i just cant stand her anymore. LOL. We don ever talk no more and the house just became unbearable to live in. Plus, i can no longer stand her nonsense.

I moved in with my homeboi Rock. He had a spare room and he offered me to move in. Before u think it, there is nothing goin on between me and him except for a tight bond and great frenship. I love him to death and hes like one of my bestest frens in Bahrain.

Update no. 2 - Rock is a DADDY! His BM just gave birth to a healthy baby boy with a head full of hair a couple days ago. Named Adrian Rocker, he is a beautiful boy and I cant wait to see how his face develops. He looks more like his mother right now. Needless to say, we popped bottles that nite in the club! It was a great nite for all of us but not for Unya cuz she was so drunk she slipped off the stage and cut her foot on some glass. 9 stitches for that but she is doing great. :)

Update no. 3 - I'm seeing someone right now but i think i was just lonely and tryin to find a replacement for Jae. Qzoomy (thats his nickname) is a nice guy and pretty sweet. But being typically me, I'm startin to find imperfections bout him tat annoy me. :( I am such a horrible girl! He's Bahraini (i noe rite!) and hes just bout an inch taller than me LOL. He doesnt realy speak perfect English - im just so used to being with Americans i guess.

Update no. 4 - My love for food is increasing by the day. I cant get enuff of surfing thru recipes website and tryin out different things. I made tom yum gai noodles the other day!

Rock cooked Jambalaya for dinner tonite. If u dont noe, Jambalaya is traditionally made in one pot with meat and vegetables and is completed by adding stock and rice. It is a close cousin of the Spanish paella. Rock just added smoked beef sausages to his. It was awesomeee...!

Knock U Down

I cant believe i let it get to me again.

I dun understand why u have such a hold on me... I'm not like this with anyone else. No matter what i do, u're there.. and ure not even here!

I thought maybe it'll be a lil bit easier but i found out the hard way last nite.

My heart skipped a beat when i heard ure name.

And then it sank when i started realising the situation. 

The rest of the nite was a blur to me. I was physically there and aware of surroundings... but my mind was pretty chaotic...

The alcohol made it a lil bit easier for me to hide my feelings.

I need to get a grip before i lose myself.

 

Sandpit Socialite

It took me 13 mins to walk into the club.

5 mins sayin hi (and a lil chat) to the 3 bouncers at the stairs of the entrance to Wrangler. Another 3-5 mins walkin along that path that leads to the main door of the club bumpin into party acquaintances leaving/enterin the club and the next 3 mins talkin to Madan (club manager) and some other party acqz by the door.

Then i walk into the club and make my greeting rounds on stage, to the djs and bartenders.

I feel like a damn socialite. Paris Hilton of Bahrain.

I met this black guy last Friday in the club. We were introducin ourselves and when i said my name, he looked at me funny and then asked "U live in Juffair?" When i nodded my head he was like "ohhhh snap! yea i heard bout u. People tell me u talk to a lot of guys"

Hot damn.

I was so amused I asked him mad questions. LOL. He said he heard it from his fren and even went to get his fren by the bar and brought him over. He introduced his fren to me and said to him "Ey man, this is Janna from Juffair" And his fren looked at me and said "Oh sht, we thought u were white!"

WOW.

I should go back to being a lil asian bitch that no one talks to.

Kitchen Frenzy

Somehow i was in such a cooking mood the past week, I whipped up something almost every other day!

Fried Rice with Egg. Chix with Onion Gravy

Aglio Olio Pasta with CharGrilled Chicken - I made this for Mariam after raiding her fridge and pantry and took whatever i could find! I just wanted to cook something for her before she leaves

 Bahrain! lol.

 

Spicier version of my Tuna Pasta. No sundried tomatoes this time but lots of red chili!

What a Weekend!

I am so tired out. This past weekend was fab!

Friday Nite was the Corona Pool Party. I was in charge of the door and i asked Rock and Wells to come over and bribed them with promise of female eye candy. LOL

Cooked for Adrian and Dee today. Adrian wanted some spicy Malaysian food so i whipped up chicken curry with potatoes and sambal egg :) Sambal was an experiment which turned out real good!!! All of us are satisfied :P

Lunar Moon Party

My first time to the Full Moon Party at Al Dar islands. It was a pretty cool party spot but I knew i wasnt gonna enjoy myself that much since they play nothing but drum&bass/techno/house and electro funk music. I just went cuz Kareem has a free ticket. LOL. so y not?

We were the first few people to get on the island (had to take a boat out from the Sitra harbor). Found ourselves a nice spot overlookin the sea, got me some lamb chops, the guys got us 2 bottles of Smirnoff........ met some people we know.... went on the jet-ski for a while. By midnight, most of the crowd starting comin in and it was when I felt like leaving. I could have been back on land partyin up like a fool with my boy Rock. He called me and said he missed me out in the club tonite but i told him i was gona make up for it the next night LOL.

I was so bored all i did was just sit on the freakin deck chair, smoked up and drank. I wasnt even buzzed.

Left the damn place at 6am, came home and came across some tearjerking family values commercials on youtube. Dee was sleepin on the couch and i was tryin hard to control my sniffles. had to go to the kitchen to let my emotions out.

I miss my dad, bro, grams, cousins, aunts.... I am so homesick. 

Leaving Bahrain is gonna be just as heavy for me....
